About

Catholic Hub was founded in 2023 with the aim of “making Catholicism make sense”.

We produce simple, clear videos and articles to help you better understand the Catholic Faith through Thomistic philosophy and theology.

The Problem

Many people today, Catholics included, do not possess a clear understanding of the Catholic Faith. They are regrettably unaware of many of the true beliefs and teachings that have been always held by the Church since the time of Our Lord and the Apostles.

We believe that this (mostly unintentional) ignorance is one of the primary causes of the triumph of evil in the world today and is the main barrier preventing those of good will from seriously considering the Catholic Faith as the ultimate answer to all of life’s questions and the one true religion.

Now more than ever, during the current crisis in the Church 1, a solid grasp of the truths of Divine Revelation is necessary to avoid becoming a “reed shaken by the wind” - that is, to be swayed and influenced by the world, the flesh and the devil.

Ultimately, this responsibility of seeking out the truth falls to each and every one of us. We owe it to ourselves to learn the necessary truths as to our origin, our purpose and our final end - and we cannot shirk this duty without real consequences to our own immortal soul - any more than we could neglect to feed our own body and expect to remain strong and healthy.

The Solution

We know that many persons have neither the time nor the inclination to study the truths of religion in lengthy books and essays 2; especially today, where the senses are bombarded from every side with media of every sort. And for those who are thus inclined - where does one even begin?

Our solution to this is to produce clear and easy-to-understand videos (and articles) that explain the Catholic Faith as it has always been taught since the time of Christ himself. We aim to provide viewers with an easily-accessible format that they can consume when and where it suits them.

Although a video-first approach does have some drawbacks in terms of the cost in time and the amount of information that can be delivered at once, we believe that this is the best way to reach those who are not already in the habit of regularly reading and studying Catholic literature.

Our Approach

There are already many Catholic social media influencers today who produce topical commentaries on the news of the day, and who do this much better than we could.

Our own focus will be slightly different - we believe there is a need for videos that are:

  • short and to the point - aiming to stay under ten minutes per video
  • instructive in content - we do not intend to comment on the latest breaking news, recent scandals or current topics
  • grounded in perennial Catholic teaching - there is a treasure of learning to be found in the Fathers and Doctors of the Church, and we wish to bring these to the front of the minds of viewers

Our videos will focus on one specific topic at a time and provide authentic Catholic teaching from traditional sources, most notably the philosophical and theological works of St Thomas Aquinas and his successors.

Support us

We are very grateful for any financial support, however small. This helps us to offset the cost of video production and will allow us to improve the quality of future episodes.

The easiest way to donate is via our Buy Me A Coffee page where you can either make a one-off gift or become a subscribing member (and get access to exclusive perks in reward!).

However, we recognise that not everyone is in a position to give financial support, and in that case we simply ask that you keep us in your prayers.

To all our subscribers, readers and followers: thank you, and God bless!
